Malicious people say that people are divided into two categories: Those who make backups and those who will make backups.
There are many different ways to store data. From the most popular hard drives (in SDD and HDD technology), through external drives (flash drives), memory cards, optical disks (CD-R, DVD-R) and ending with magnetic tape drives. We deliberately omit here the storage of data in the so-called "clouds" and archaic methods such as HD/ZIP floppy disks.
Particularly sensitive data should be especially protected. For example, you can make a daily copy of data to an external hard drive (e.g. accounting or sales program). However, this process can be automated by introducing not only appropriate programs or applications that will perform these operations for us at a scheduled time.
Sensitive data can also be protected by placing them on specially designed disk arrays, in which data important from the point of view of our organization is stored not on one, but on several disks at the same time.
